Cleared cache didn't help. It's happening at least once per page now. This is ridiculous.
Been getting this for the past two days.
I am getting constant Malwarebytes 'malicious website blocked' alerts today. I don't know the ad because Malwarebytes is stopping it being shown but these are the details:
Edit: Every Neogaf page is reporting this.
A fix in the works?
Getting a full screen "lucky winner" redirect hijack with a message pop-up, can't report.
Same as these. Automatically redirects, with a pop up on the new site as well.
Got a hijack from "rightnetworkclub.com" or whatever the hell it was. Havent had one in a while until now.
I'm watching YouTube right now, which pegs Firefox at 10% CPU (old 2c/4t laptop). Leaving a GAF tab open can bump that anywhere from 30 to 85% and causes my browser to frequently freeze maybe every 15 seconds.
I can't scroll with my mouse up/down, I can on any other site so it's not a hardware problem.
Same here, sometimes mouse wheel scrolling just dies
It's a known chrome bug.
Same issue on my end.
It happens if you scroll while the page is loading.
Luckily Google seems to actually give a shit about user experience and ads on this site will likely be auto-blocked whenever they release their chrome updates.
Can we please have a paid ad free option?
Hmm, NeoGAF you think?
Yeah, in fairness, we're just about bedridden in hospice care on this heavily modified vb3 architecture from 2004, flashing forward to the nigh-unrecognizable dystopian scifi of 2017 by contrast. Very few items on my current NeoGAF to-do list for intended features and improvements can plausibly be implemented on our legacy platform. So, with that in mind, I'll mention:
NeoGAF's 2017 Update includes migration over to a modern, versatile forum architecture (identity and familiarity intact); many oft-requested features and refinements; enhanced security and stability; more flexible, rigorous, and easier-to-understand registration options; powerful search tools; and I suppose a modestly priced ad-free Gold option so that ad-free users have a legitimate, equitable, guilt-free browsing option that helps ensure NeoGAF's sustainable future.
Hopefully once Google get ad blocking setup as default in Chrome we may get some respite from shitty mobile ads.
Actually, now that I think of it, i haven't seen ads at all in a while. They just don't appear.
