Other shovelware that's out today in Europe:

Candy Hoarder for Wii U
PINK DOT BLUE DOT for 3DS
Mini Sports Collection for 3DS

I'm not upset that Nintendo are being a little bit restrictive again on Switch.

Also the US page for Bomberman 64 says "Some features from the original game are not available in this version of the game." No specifics, but I expect that's referring to the Controller Pak.

And the patch for Blaster Master Zero's Pro Controller support has missed launch day, it is dated for March 16th.

New Goemon coming!

Anyway these NERD (Nintendo Europe R&D) guys are proving themselves once again if they figured a way to handle the N64 controller pack issues.

If they've moved all three regional updates to the same day, then chances are it'll be the same time as well, likely the US update time.

I'm pretty sure that it wouldn't be updated this late in the game (Game's pretty much over)

Not the same and pretty 'important' for the multiplayer - each player could customize your Bomberman with the stuff you got in the Single Player. And not something silly like a guitar on his back. It was a neat system where you could build your own hero with stuff from NPCs, villains etc from the single player. And my 12 year old self remembers them as pretty damn cool!

I would've agreed with this except for the fact they finally got Harvest Moon 64 working. Shoving that into any version of the VC emulator previously just caused nothing but problems, and now here we are.

Oh, many games?

Somehow I was under the impression that we would only get the ACA release and Blaster Master 0 today. At least that's what went up in Japan.

Also, "Parascientific Escape - Gear Detective" is still not out on DE eShop. I wrote Nintendo, they said it would be out friday instead of thursday (spoiler: it wasn't. Instead they deleted it from the Nintendo homepage), and CIRCLE twitter is just "#soon". :/

It's all a conspiracy.

Konami put out a bad Bomberman game so people would get nostalgic for the older ones, then figured people would be more willing to buy said older games if they released them now on the eShop.

Why else would Bomberman 64 & '94 be released so close together?!

Yup, it's actually quite common. Website can be a bit slow to "refresh" for some reason. I don't think it's specific to the Nintendo Switch, happened with Wii U and 3DS games before.

It's basically what would happen if you took a typical Bomberman game and used its existing framework to make a puzzle platformer. It's really distinct in the series, which I think is a big part of why it has such a strong following to this day.

Also, the soundtrack is fantastic.

I'm fine with what little I've played, but I've heard there's some control lag issues in the game and the game is just overpriced for what you're getting. The game is an alright Bomberman game that should have been $15-20 in my opinion. I got it due to Visa Checkout and GCU on Best Buy. I still need to play more of it, but it seems fine and I could see the game having some longevity if online goes well and the control lag is improved.

I'm hoping NA's catch-up with the NeoGeo titles means we'll get them on the same weekly schedule as EU/JPN, assuming that continues. Anyway, now I can buy Metal Slug without getting a JPN e-Shop card, so that's convenient. :)

Is this the same Bomberman 64 that was released on the Wii? Because I am not getting the discount yet.

Ok, I've played both offline and online and both seemed to work well. I guess I need to play single player mode more though to form a better overall opinion. Agreed $50 is a bit too high but I want to see the game succeed so hopefully Konami will start making more classic 2D games like this.

What's the consensus on the non fighting games from th Neo Geo releases? I grabbed Metal Slug but some of the others looked interesting too.

Shock Troopers and NAM-1975 are essential Neo Geo games.

NAM-1975 is a little dated because was a launch NeoGeo game, Shock Troopers is a must have.

Both are fun to play with local multiplayer.
