Disingenuous moral high ground from Cooper.

That's Lord's job.

If Lord didn't defend Trump, CNN would find a new toadie.

I mean, so Lord is literally paid to come on and defend Donald Trump. One of the reasons CNN hired all these new Trump assholes over the last year is because so many of their old Republican commentators refused to defend Trump, so they had to hire people explicitly for the purpose of doing so. If Cooper doesn't wanna deal with that, I'm afraid he works for the wrong channel.

It would be like if Aaron Paul got mad because Walter White is an asshole.

I'm sure at this point they will find a way to defend why Trump wanted to dump on the Resolute desk.

Some good reasons would be:
- The desk is old anyway
- It needs a polish
- Its just a fucking desk so what if he likes to shit on desks. We all should be focused on his policies.

That's what Lord is paid to do..by CNN. Unless they want to enact a policy of being forthright and truthful, this is what they paid for.

EDIT: Actually I'm conflicted now.

Who the flip is that Nick Searcy guy in the Twitter comments???

He's talking himself up like some big hotshot cause whenever he signs up for something he appears on the news?

Yet he's acting like a grade A jerkwad.

Like for real, Anderson Cooper likely has 0 control over these morons being on his show. That's CNN's (Jeff Zucker) doing.

This exchange is likely Anderson's cry for help, more than anything else. "Please don't make me talk to these people anymore."

CNN should just stop inviting partisan hacks onto discussion panels.

This is not Jeffrey Lord's fault; this is squarely 100% CNN's fault keeping their Crossfire model

It's his fault for not finding something less soulless and empty to do with his life. I know he's being paid well, but if I'm paid to be a clown, I'd rather put on the white makeup. It's less humiliating.

It's all set up drama to keep you watching. They set the match next to the gasoline so we all get hooked on the fireworks. CNN might have good journalists and they've just broken some big news but they're wasting people like Copper.
