The mousewheel isn't scrolling on neogaf in chrome 57. Anyone else getting this issue and knows what is causing it?

Did you try removing and plugging the mouse back into the PS/2 port?

EDIT: just checked in chrome on my work computer, seem to be getting a similar problem. Weird.

I'm actually having this problem myself across multiple websites. It's inconsistent though and I can't figure out what triggers it.

I get that problem sometimes on different websites. Opening a new tab works for me.

I've been having this issue over the last several weeks, on several of my pinned sites. Suddenly the scroll wheel doesn't work on them, and I have to close chrome to get it to function normally again.

Happens to me a lot since 57. Closing Chrome and opening it again seems to fix it.

Seems to happen if I try to scroll while the page is loading.

Edit: Chrome 58 seems to be out now. Try updating?

Bug in Chrome.

Both work and home computers occasionally experience this, close the browser and CTRL SHIFT T to restore all windows.

PS/2 port? What year is this?

I have the same problem in Chrome sometimes. Closing and opening Chrome again usually helps.

It's a bug, you could try the chromium release to see if it's fixed.

Been happening to me every few days for a couple of weeks now. Restarting the browser fixes it each time.

Wow, you're right! I just scrolled while the site was loading, and now the scroll doesn't work.

Yeah same for me since two or three weeks ago.

Closing and restarting usually does the trick.

It's annoying.

I have a heavy suspicion it's a particular ad or something. Have seen the same bug.

Yes I got this recently too, only on Neogaf. Using a wireless trackball. It works for a bit then stops.

Happened to me for a while. If I recall disabling hardware acceleration in settings->advanced settings worked for me.

Either that or that was my placebo I don't know.

I'm really curious as to the cause of this error as several people who actually use the site I work on at work are having this scrolling error and it keeps them from registering because they can't get to the next field in the form, thus having business ramifications.

I don't think they are hot swappable, but not sure if it would damage the port or just cause issues requiring a reboot. Lol didn't mean to derail though, mind defaulted to PS/2 port for some reason, maybe I've caught a case of the olds.

Been happening to me sporadically as well lately(Win 10/Chrome).

It's rare though for me and it's been near impossible to replicate when it does occur. Seems to magically blink back functionality for unknown reasons too. Sometimes moving to a different page, sometimes refreshing, sometimes just restarting browser.

I had it sometimes when I was scrolling while the page was loading, but it could be solved by closing and reopening the tab.

Doesn't seem to happen anymore, though.

Yeah it's weird it'll be fine then just stop. For just one tab. I can order en another tab to Gaf and it will be fine for scrolling, with the original tab still stuck.

Happens all the time to me. It just randomly dies in one specific tab while still working in any others open. Just duplicate the problem tab and it'll work again.

This has been happening to me over the past few weeks, although it's intermittent and relaunching Chrome fixes it sometimes. Really odd.
