The last one that really sucked me in was the character card game in Tales of Berseria. Probably spent 7-8 hours just playing that.

If fishing in ffxv and karaoke in yakuza 0 don't count, then I'll say the lickitung mini game in the first pokemon stadium.

Poker in Red Dead Redemption. Sometimes played that for days in-game time. Was pretty silly.

Always ended it with a good brawl.

Also the Chocobo races in FF13-2. Great fun.

I also went for a perfect score on the Gerudo shooting range.

I keep playing the SFIV3D figurines streetpass game, maxing out my team.

And if it counts, I got stuck on playing through Smash Brothers 3DS in Cruel Miilee, been trying to up my score for more than a year now.

This is up there as well. If they turned this into a full game I'd buy it in an instant.

The mini games for I think it was New Super Mario Brothers on the DS. Sunk so much time into those games and everyone else I know who played got hooked.

Tekken Bowling is another great one, my cousins and I would sit around and play that for a few hours. Still have a copy of our old save game.

I still just play Sonic Adventure for this section, and not play the main game at all.

I was pretty addicted to raising Chao in Sonic Adventure 2 as a kid That sort of tomagotchi thing doesn't really appeal to me anymore though so now it's just a chore to get all the Emblems related to Chao raising.

My second favorite Sonic game is to stick Sonic 1 inside of Sonic & Knuckles so that you get like 100 Sonic 3 bonus stage maps.

I bought Resident Evil 5 like 4 times, literally just to play Mercs mode on whatever system I owned.

I don't care what anyone says, Tetra Master > Triple Triad. Fight me.
Also loved Chocobo Hot 'n' Cold. KWEEH!
Pokémon Contests in RSE and DPP, didn't play it much in Alpha Sapphire though.
What else... I clearly remember spending more time playing a minigame than the game itself but I don't remember what it was lol

I was all about the Chao eugenics in Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. Took me ages to get one with S-rank in all stats, but it was worth it. Also bred a bunch with interesting colours (such as an invisible one and one with limbs coloured differently to its body). It's a shame the HD port broke some of the unusual colour schemes (probably down to incorrect texture blending). For example:

Original on left, HD port on right.

plenty of pazaak in KOTOR. I always wished there was some way to play sabacc, the poker equivalent.
plenty of people mentioned poker in RDR, but me and my friends played more liar's dice - and led to playing it in real life.

Tin Pin Slammer on The World Ends With You. Even had tournaments of this when I was at college. Could've been a standalone game it was awesome.

Monkey Target on Super Monkey Ball 2 is a classic that we still go back to on occasion.

Voltorb Flip in Pokemon uhh Soul Silver? I think? Was really fun. Spent so long playing that I forgot I wasn't playing the main game.

Poker in Tales of Vesperia for the same reason. Won so many chips during that that I could redeem them for a ridiculous number of items and then sell them for tens of millions of gald. Good times!

Home Run Contest across many Smash games got really competitive in our house. We had to write our best scores down so we knew who held the record for each character.

Probably loads of obvious ones I'm missing or that have been mentioned plenty already. But I love a game where they put effort into good minigames. Really increases the longevity.
